Best Type of Juicer to use:
A cold pressed juicer is the best juicer to use. It removes the juices with force rather than speed which
can create heat. Heat sensitive nutrients such as Vitamin C and certain phytochemicals, would be
substantially reduced with heat.
How to Juice:
1) Cut up all your fruits and vegetables up in about 1 inch squares, you can keep the seeds in because the juicer will spit them out with the pulp.
2) Vary what you put into the juicer-alternate harder items with leafy/softer items. By mixing up what you put in the juicer it will prevent all of one type from being on the bottom of your juice.
3) Stir juice mixture before serving.
4) Rinse and clean juicer immediately.

How much to make?
Only make enough for one glass that you would consume right away. Harmful bacteria can develop if you keep it for any length of time. Also, make sure you are cleaning your fruits and vegetables prior to juicing. I would also recommend buying organic fruits and vegetables if they are on the Dirty Dozen Produce list, such as apples, celery, spinach and cucumbers!
Best time to drink the juice:
Drinking the juice on empty stomach is the best way for the nutrients to be absorbed by your body. After juicing, wait at least 20 minutes before consuming a meal. I like to start off my day drinking a juice.
Guide to making your own juicing recipes:
80/20 Rule- When creating your own juice recipes, the general guideline is to make your creation ~80% vegetables (preferably greens) and ~20% fruits. You can ALWAYS up the vegetable percentage!
Pick one sweet, one bold and one neutral item and juice!
Kale:
Kale is one of the top vegetables to juice because it has so many nutrients in it but it's important to know what parts to put in the juicer. You want to remove the leaves from the stem before putting it into the juicer because the stem can be very bitter.
